Who we are, and how MODA actually works.

Nearly a decade of trading watches under one name.

MODA has traded watches under one name for nearly a decade, with hundreds of thousands of members across our groups and millions of dollars in watches bought and sold. It is not an anonymous marketplace account. You can search us, ask around in the group, and read our history before you send anything. MODA Watches is operated by SNJ Mode LLC.

Where MODA came from.

MODA Watches grew out of the Moda Clubs Facebook trading groups. The groups came first: collectors buying, selling and trading watches with each other. MODA Watches is the side of that community we built to focus on watch sales and services: buying, selling, appraising, running auctions and checking serials.

MODA Watches took what already worked in the groups and built real offers, inspections and payment around it.

Five ways we work with a watch.

• 01The catalog. We check every watch listed against the reference, put it under magnification for redials and swapped parts, and serial-check it before it goes up.
• 02Selling your watch. Text us or fill out the form and a real offer comes back within hours, with fully insured overnight shipping and payment within 24 hours of your watch arriving, by wire, e-check, or Zelle for smaller amounts.
• 03Auctions and consignment. We inspect, photograph, list and sell your watch for you for one flat fee.
• 04Serial checks. We run a watch's serial through its brand's own database and send back the factory record and any stolen report, by SMS, in 24 to 48 hours.
• 05Appraisals. A signed insurance appraisal, done entirely remotely, for a flat $50 per watch.

The same process, every watch.

Before a watch goes up on the catalog, we go through the movement against the reference, look at the case and lugs for the sharp factory geometry that polishing kills, put the dial and hands under magnification for redials and swapped parts, and confirm the bracelet and clasp codes match the reference and the period. We also run the serial through the brand's own manufacturer database before it's listed, the same check we sell to buyers.

When you buy from us, shipping is free. Your watch goes out fully insured overnight FedEx, double-boxed and signature required, and stays insured for the full purchase price until it's in your hands. When you sell to us, we send a fully insured overnight shipping label and pay you within 24 hours of your watch arriving, by wire, e-check, or Zelle for smaller amounts.

Where most of this actually happens.

MODA runs one of the largest watch-trading communities online, and most of our deals start there. It's public, and you can scroll back years of posts. We've run more than 1,000 auctions, with 60% closing above our estimate and a 99% sale completion rate.
